Eek! Final Peek!

This is the last peek of the Christmas kit, tomorrow they'll be going up for pre-ordering on the main site. I will be linking it from here though too along with a nice big photo.
For a peek photo I've still crammed quite a bit in! There's still some stuff yet to show off too, I think it will be nice to keep some things a surprise for when you open it, goes with the Christmas theme and all that! I've got some pretty special bits and pieces just for wrapping it up in too :-D

On to the peek! We have ribbons - one of my favorite things! Along with the lush crochet laces I showed in previous peeks you also get some of the scrummiest ribbons. One is like a raffia with a silver edge it just reminded me of something a really decadent gift would be wrapped up with so I had to get that. There's some of the Bazzill polka dotty card too, that's what I wanted to show off the other week but it didn't turn up in time so I bought some more just for the peek! lol
There's another little peek of the Making Memories paper and some little crystal snowflakes that I found out match the centers of the snowflakes in it perfectly!
Envelopes I've included in the peek too because I think it's important to have some special ones, what's the point of making a mega special lush card and then having a plain white envelope to pop it in? So you defo need some lush envelopes to match your lush cards :-D
Stop by tomorrow for the pre-ordering details!

Fridays peek!

Well, the special delivery did arrive today so I can share!
I designed some special stamps and had them made up just for the kits! I went for a circle design because they're perfect for greetings as well as using on envelopes as a seal. The dotty edge works perfectly with the pretty mini dotty papers in the kit too!

I'll do a last peek over the weekend and then next Sunday night will open the kits up for pre-ordering so if you want to make sure you have your name on one you can do.

3rd Christmas kit peek and Fabric Brads project!

Here is today's sneaky peeky of the Christmas kit! We've got lots of different and super cute brads, another paper peek too! There will be another one tomorrow, I'm expecting an extra special bit to get delivered so I'm hoping it will arrive in time for tomorrows peek!
I've got another fun project for you too today! Here's one I've been doing for a while now and it's a great way to get customised embellishments!

Fabric Brads
You'll need to gather together some brads, the larger and jumbo ones are easier to use, I've used some alphabet ones too because I have loads of odd ones of those going to waste. You'll also need some fabric of your choice (the one I've used is from the Quirky kit) and a scrap of craft foam, just that stuff that kids use to make foam shapes, I've used white but you can use any colour you have because it's going to get covered up. You'll also need some scissors and doublesided tape.

Cut out a square from the foam and the fabric, if you want to pick out a motif from your fabric make sure it's central on the square of fabric, you'll need it roughly 1cm larger than your brad. Apply some doublesided tape to the front of your brad.

Stick the foam over the brad and use the scissors to cut around it to make it the same shape as your brad.Apply more doublesided tape on top of the foam and stick it on to the center of your fabric square, if you want to make sure your get your motif central hold it up to the light and hold the brad behind the fabric. Now open out the prongs on the brad carefully and apply doublesided tape to the back of the brad.Fold the edges of the fabric in around the brad, pressing it down firmly to adhere it to the tape then push back down the brads prongs. You can stick more tape on top if it needs it, it all depends on how thick the fabric is you're using.
Make the smaller size ones in the same way but trim off the corners of the fabric to make it easier to fold round and push down at the back of the brad.
There we go, all done! Because the foam is underneath the fabric it means you can also sew on additional embellishments like little buttons and seed beads etc.

Have fun!

2nd Peek and Mini Kit Project

As promised here is today's peek of the Christmas Crafty Goodies kit!Looking yummy eh? Here's a more delicate side to the kit, an intricate crochet lace lots of yummy snowflakes on paper, flocked velum and paper ones with gemmy bits. :)
Stop by tomorrow for another peek!

Project

I did say I'd done a project with the September kit to show today too so here it is, it's really simple to make too.

Notecard Post set

It's lovely to get random stuff through the post and this notecard set is sure to brighten up some ones day. You can make the notecards about anything, I've made mine into little recipe cards but you could include any photos, maybe treat a grandparent who's far away to some cute pics of the grandchildren, share photos of a recent holiday or maybe a birth announcement. There's tons of things you can do!
Ok so first you need to cut some notecards, these measure 4x6 inches so cut one for your cover and then 4 or 5 for the other sheets from cardstock and/or heavy weight patterned paper.
Print off some photos you would like to use to the same 4x6 size (or use already printed photos). Ink the edges then matt them on to some of the notecards. You can add a bit of stamping to the photos if you like to decorate them but keep any embellishing you do flat.
Next make your cover using the notelet from the kit as the center piece, adding your message int the center. You can decorate it some more as you wish. I stamped over a pattern on the chipboard heart, added some buttons and a scallop cut with a nestability die and the light blue card in the kit.
When you've done with the front cover take some of the lace in the kit and wrap it around the stacked up notecards, tying in a knot to secure.

Take one of the c6 envelopes from the kit and carefully undo it where it's glued together and lay it out flat. Take a sheet of 12x12 paper (I used an old one I'd have in my stash for ages) and place the opened out envelope on it, draw around the edge of the envelope using it as a template. Cut it out and score then fold it back together, adding glue along the side edges of the bottom flap to secure it. Thread a button on to the envelope flap.
Finally pop in you finished notecards and secure down your enveope with a blob of glue under the button. You can make it more secure with a bit of tape along the edges if you intend to post it, just to make sure your notecards will be safe inside.

October Kit First Peek!

OK so if you're a regular visitor to the CT blog you'll know that once a new Crafty Goodies kit is released I tend to show you a peek of the next kit and if you didn't know that, well, now you do!
Octobers kit is looking mega lush so I've decided to tease you with a few sneaky peeks all this week! This one is the first peek..........
Yep that is glitter paper and it is TDF! Those pebble stickers are slightly glittery too, just a delicate dusting that says Christmas magic! I'll post another peek tomorrow, a completely different side to the kit (it has many, it is bumper kit after all!) and there is still stuff arriving, I'm going to be seriously snowed under! lol

If you can't wait for kit goodness to pop though your letterbox grab a September kit, it's just a fiver this month so you've got no excuse not to treat yourself! It's got scrummy Bazzill Bling, scallop Bazzill, American Craft papers, ooo loads of scrummyness! I'm making up a cute project right now with the kit as a blog feature, I think I'll post that tomorrow too along with the 2nd peek.
